We are also proud to highlight our many 2018 ASHRAE accomplishments:

  • Our retrofit project of San Mateo County's 555 County Center (COB2) administrative building won the ASHRAE Region X Technology Award for existing commercial buildings
  • ASHRAE Guideline 36 (High-Performance Sequences of Operation for HVAC Systems) was published. Steve Taylor was instrumental in the development of the guideline and many others in our office contributed to this guideline, particularly Reece Kiriu
  • Glenn Friedman was a voting member of ASHRAE Standard Special Projects Committee (SSPC) 180 which recently updated ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 180-2018 Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of  Commercial Building HVAC Systems
  • Steve Taylor authored three ASHRAE Journal Articles as part of his shared column
  • Steve Taylor and David Heinzerling co-authored an ASHRAE Journal article on the award winning HVAC design for SFMOMA
  • Jeff Stein and Brandon Gill co-authored an ASHRAE Journal article on data center controls
  • David Heinzerling co-authored an ASHRAE Journal article on recent additions to ASHRAE Standard 55 focused on the impact of sunlight on occupant thermal comfort
  • Reinhard Seidl became Chair of ASHRAE SSPC 202
  • David Heinzerling became Vice-Chair of ASHRAE SSPC 55
